There are so many alternatives to buying cards at your local retail store. You don't have to be super creative or a designer to create an adorable card for a friend or family member. The mailbox is right outside my office, so having DIY card alternative rids the worry of running to the store to grab a card, then mailing it, I can just create one and mail it right away. I pretty much shop at my favorite stores such as TJ MAXX & MARSHALLS, I usually just grab a ton of inexpensive yet great quality fun quote stickers, that I use to create my cards. Vellum stickers, has some awesome sayings which takes away that extra time for printing. Don't get me wrong there are times when you have to grab a Hallmark Card however, I opt for creating them myself as much as possible. There is something so special about creating and receiving a handmade card. Sticker quotes and sayings like the ones below from K&COMPANY, allows you to create any type of card without looking tacky or too handmade. Grab your FAVE Quote Sticker Stack from places like T.J. MAXX, MARSHALLS or Michaels Crafts.
Stick it on carefully to the front of your card.
Open up the card and add your FAVE quote sticker inside, following the same steps above.
Slowly peel your sticker of choice off. Going slow allows you to peel without tearing or getting it dirty, especially if you're using Vellum stickers.
Press down firmly to avoid bubbles.
Now write it up and send it out...Whoever you send it to will be sure to love it!
