What gives you that kick in the morning to jump start your day?
I love tea! My cabinet is stuffed with a variety of loose teas. There's something about the act of brewing tea that's so calming. It's a great way to start the day.
When you are not working what are you up to?
When I’m not inventing new goodies for the shop, I try to make sure life is brimming with creative moments. I fill sketchbook pages with doodles, dream up DIY projects, decorate our home, get dirt under my fingernails in the garden, dabble in photography, and do a fair amount of cooking and baking.
Whats your favorite TV show?
I can't get enough New Girl lately, but I love The Walking Dead too.
Whats your favorite color? How does it inspire you?
I could never choose a favorite color! My color preferences seem to change from month to month.
Lets get a little personal-whats in your closet?
I like to wear neutral or subdued colors but with a lot of texture to add interest—like sequins, lace, and stripes. Sometimes I'll throw in a pop of color like a pair of yellow pumps.
How do you sleep at night with all those creative thoughts brewing in your head?
I keep a fan running at night. The white noise helps drown out creative thoughts, ha ha!
Do you have a family-how do you juggle your family and your business effectively?
My husband and I both work long hours. Running my own business is time consuming, and he works in the video game industry which is also very demanding. I guess this is the workaholic stage of our lives! We make sure to set aside one night each week to have a date night.
If you were not doing this what else would you be doing?
I've always loved animals. I'd love to be a biologist that travels the world tracking and studying various animal populations. Oh, or a zoo habitat designer. Is that a job? If it is I think it would be a blast.
What is your must read book?
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
Which magazines do you love to read?:
I tend to read blogs rather than magazines. Some of my favorites are: http://fellowfellow.com / http://www.elephantineblog.com / http://www.ohhellofriendblog.com / http://www.brightbazaarblog.com / http://www.amerrymishapblog.com

What are some tips for those who cannot afford your services?
They could try making their own greeting cards.
What inspires you when it comes to your type of business?
I'm inspired by the success of others. Seeing other small creative businesses achieve great things motivates me to keep striving for my goals.
What are some hot colors that are in style now?
I don't really pay attention to what colors are in style, I just choose colors that I'm drawn to at the moment. Right now I'm loving mustard yellow and grey.
What are the do's & don't when it comes to your type of business?
Do... Have excellent product photography. When you're selling online, your photos have to represent your product very well. That's all your customers can see! Don't... Be afraid to have fun with it! Some of my most off the wall, funny ideas have turned out to be best sellers.

Describe your company and what it is that you do?

What makes your company & services different/unique from all the others?
I design and illustrate all my products myself, so they are unique in that they can't be found anywhere else. My greeting cards are aesthetically appealing and frank, which is often so hard to find when you're looking for the perfect card!
With money being a big issue these days, would you consider your business budget friendly?
Yes, I would.
