Fun Finds Friday
/Hello Home Style readers! I want Fridays to be a light, fun read, so i'm introducing a segment called Fun Finds Fridays. In all of my pinning, vendor introduction emails and catalogs i have come across some very interesting and fun home decor products that i'd love to share with you each week.
I love a home with personality, so I always try to find a way to introduce some quirk into a space to personalize it for my homeowners. Sometimes it's due to a story they've told me, something that reminds me of something they have said or sometimes it's just something to remind them not to take life so seriously. Whatever it may be, I always find a way to seamlessly work it into their space. Even if your home is full of Tiffany collectibles and fine china from the Ming Dynasty, you should have one tiny little space devoted to making you smile! Sometimes, some of these finds just make me say HUH? It may be something that I wouldn't even think of putting in my enemy's house, but it's interesting none the less and if it makes you even so much as smirk... I've done my job that Friday!
So, I invite you to send me home decor and furniture items that are fun, unique or just plain crazy so I can share them with our readers. We'll save serious design for Mondays and Wednesdays. Fridays are our day to let down our hair and say wow, who woulda thunk it!

This is my favorite find of the week, so I'm starting with it. When I was little, I use to want a joystick to control everything! This light switch would be SO much fun for a gameroom or kid's bedroom. I'd throw Pac Man on the wall and make it a full on homage to the games of my generation. You can find this item on www.thefancy.com for just $25.00

How cool is this clock? Time is relative... sometimes it goes right out the window. Whatever you are doing with your time, add this clock to help you forget exactly what time it is... just don't use it to teach your kids to tell time! Find it for just $18.00 at www.cafepress.com.

OK, not that I would ever put this in a client's home, but I will say it's an interesting find... Do you see those lamps inside the actual aquarium, above the nightstands? You can't say it isn't dope! This aquarium bed can be yours for the modest price of just $60,000. It's made by Acrylic Tank Manufacturers and is also sold at www.thefancy.com.

Along the same theme as that cool joystick light switch, check out these Donkey Kong shelves! For someone who got to appreciate Atari and this amazing game, these shelves are the best reminder of our youth! Find it at www.hiconsumption.com.
